I may be missing the point, but why do you want to know? I dont really see it as a very useful bit of info.

This info allow me to estimate how deep back can go bad neiborhood penalty.
I monitor PR of sites that I linking, some 6% of them banned/penalized by latest dance (in previus 2-3 days).

Does the 'Six Degrees of Separation' rule apply to pages on the internet?

I saw a tool that used the IMDB to do SixDegrees/KevinBaconGame, and could never get it above 4 degrees between any two actors!

If it does apply, then your never more that six links from a banned site.. (and never more than six from a PR11! ;) )

It's totally useless for what you are thinking of. The "penalty" will not be reapplied with each iteration of the PR algo. The penalty will be applied either before or after the algo.

BigDave:
I am not sure, I think it implemented on PR calculation stage.

look:
[homepage site A]->[directory]-->[subdirectory w/ links]-----------
--------->[homepage site B PR5]->[directory PR0]->
+-->[subdirectory1 w/ links PR0]-->[PR0 site b/n]
¦
+-->[subdirectory2 PR3]-->...

I saw this case today, when this PR0 will comes to [home page Site A] or [home page Site B]?

Any idea? where the limit?
