Does Google continue to spider 'banned' pages?

Hi guys, hope someone can help me with this.

For a number of days now my site has just been dropped from the serps and running a url search shows no pages in the index whatsoever. When I view the site in my browser the toolbar just shows the grey bar as it has always done(ie. 'page is not ranked by google', not pagerank 0).

However, the google freshbot is still scouring my pages according to my logs. Is this a normal occurence for dropped pages/sites?

If Googlebot is still visiting your pages then you have NOT been banned.
