My site was listed on Google Friday 5/24...now it's gone!

Help please. I am a novice and very confused about Google. My site is listed with decent page ranks for MSN, AOL, Yahoo. On Friday I found that the site ranked fairly high with one search term on Google....Now my URL doesn't come up. What happened? What can I do? Thank you so much in advance for any assistance.

janew,

Welcome To The Forums!

If it's the site in your profile I see google has about 43 pages cached/indexed. These show on all three www's. :)

dstan,
Thanks for the reply. Where do you find them? I enter my url in their search bar and get nothing. Friday I did several searches and had good results. I am new, so maybe I'm overlooking something...thanks.

Hi janew,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld

At the moment, Google is still in the process of updating its database. When that happens, the results you will see will depend on the data center you connect to. They have several, so it's not uncommon for people in different places to see different results.

If you would like to learn more about the ins and outs of Google, you might want to check out our Google Forum [webmasterworld.com].

janew,

Just as WebGuerrilla said :)

I use this tool although you will see others posted:
http://google.fergusons.dk/

enter your url without the http:// or the .com

Thanks again. Yes, I went there first and am still trying to find a primer of very basic Google info. Thanks for the explanation; I guess I just need to check their search daily to see where my site is.

You might want to start with the Google Knowledge Base [webmasterworld.com]

janew,

Your welcome for the link - the author is listed on the page (it's not me):)

Since you are new to the forums, don't forget to read the Terms of Service of this forum. There are very few cases when you can post a URL ;)
Also, take WebGuerrilla advice and read the knowledge base information in his link. It contains a wealth of information.
