Hi,

regarding using dumptruck, I have 3 questions:
1. do all SEs accept it?
2. Is it necessary to set up the "delay" option?
3. When submitting more then one URL to more then one SE, does Dumptruck submit first URL to all selected SEs and then the 2nd one to all of them, or submit all URLs to the first SE etc.?

Thanks

Artur

Welcome to WmW Arthur! I used to be a regular DT user, it's been a while but here's what I remember:

>1. do all SEs accept it?

"Accept it" is a somewhat misleading phrase in that DT goes directly to most of the major SEs' submit script and submits the proper values, bypassing the endless manual submits. Most SEs don't like it because people have abused automated submissions. DT no longer works with AV, AV recently adopted a "you must visit our submit page and enter a code to submit" policy, partially in response to DT and programs like it.

>2. Is it necessary to set up the "delay" option?

It's not necessary, but I have always used it. Using automated submitters is against most SEs terms of service, why advertise you're doing it by submitting at "computer speed?" The delay makes submissions appear at a more "human speed."

>3. When submitting more then one URL to more then one SE, does Dumptruck submit first URL to all selected SEs and then the 2nd one to all of them, or submit all URLs to the first SE etc.?

If memory serves, DT submits the first URL to all SEs, then the next URL...
