Does anyone know if there are then any search engines that can index SSL pages? I have read that a search indexing robot can if it includes the SSL decryption code.

I don't think any of the major engines do, they already have plenty of pages to index. ;) Anyone have a different experience?

No. It isn't a question of ability -- spiderring encrypted pages could even be done in perl. It's a question of resources and liability.
