Hi,

I tried installing PWS from my Win98 CD and as the installation gets to 95% before completion, I get various unregisterd dll errors, MTS could not be installed properly messages and some specific error codes.

When I tried uninstalling this bad version of PWS, it prompted me to restart my computer and then after boot-up, it would not load Windows until I re-installed the entire Windows.

And this has happened 3 times !!!

Please help!!

Sam

Try xitami ( [imatix.com...] ), I remember it being very easy to install, and I got it working without any glitches.

There's an article in the Microsoft KB Q246081 [support.microsoft.com] that will probably help.

I read the article and followed it step-by-step but the very first step of uninstalling PWS did not go successfull( it could not remove some MTS components and dlls) and so the rest of the steps did not make any difference despite implementing them religiously.

As usual it crashed and had to re-install Win98 fourth time.

:(

I'm out of ideas for this then...maybe you should try Microsoft's Standard No-Charge Support [support.microsoft.com]? They aren't too fast, but are usually helpful.

I installed Apache 1.3.2 and configured it properly to display webpages (.html) and SSI (.html).

Now, I want to use ColdFusion Application Server to process my dynamic web pages.

Before developing web pages, how do I configure Apache to recognize web pages with ".cfm" extension and generally setup ColdFusion to work with Apache for database connectivity and other capabilities?

Thanks.

maybe too late now ... but

i had this problem when testing DW ultradev trial.

i found that PWS would 95% install (running win98) and then get an error, this kept happening.

i made no changes, just kept rebooting and on about the 5th time i held my breathe and it did it!!! a full install, can't explain it, it just happened.
