Redirect affecting UK listings?

Hi,

I'm sorry i know this has been covered off loads but I have an extra bit to add to the usual question!

My site is hosted in Europe on a .com domain - this one is fine - i can understand why we are not getting listings in Google UK. However, we also have a .co.uk domain thats hosted in the US, this also is not getting any listings in GUK - this automatically redirects to the .com site.

My question is, do you think that the redirect will be preventing the .co.uk site getting listed in Google UK, could it be that the engines have chosen the .com site as the main site and are now ignoring the .co.uk site?

I see the following as solutions but i was wandering if anyone else has any more ideas:

1. Moving to UK hosting company
2. Using a UK IP from our existing company
3. Setting up a small site that links to the main site that are hosted in the UK

Thanks for any help.
