Software to build link directory needed

I would like to start a link directory to a specific topic and built the first 1000 links manually, meaning in HTML; now it is getting too laborous to check for dead links, change the layout, etc.

I am wondering whether there are any programs that automatically build link databases and generate the HTML code or alike. Any advice? Thanks! W.

Try Googling for "Links sql" it may be just what you are looking for. There is also a lower cost version that uses flat files for storage. It can also be used in shareware licence.
