When is it time for a database server?

Right now I've got one server with the following specs:
Dual 2.8 Xeon
2GB RAM
250GB Storage
2000GB Bandwidth

I've got about 25 sites on there, 20 of which use one or multiple MySQL databases. Would I benefit from having a separate database server? If not, when would it be necessary?

Web page serving takes very little processing. If you don't have anything else that eats up processing on the server you're set for quite a while.

If you also run a mail server, active FTP, CRM, anti-virus, etc. on there, then eventually you will starve the database for processor power. Then it's time.

Usually when users start to complain is a good time to upgrade.8)
