Any suggestions on how to create better pdf's from web pages using adobe acrobat? I'd like to offer pdf versions of my web pages as a printer friendly option, but what acrobat creates from them is useless. I'm using css for structure and styling, and it seems acrobat ignores the css. Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas?

hi and welcome to the webmaster world!

I've given up on trying to make a web-based PDF option. Rather, I recommend to people to download the PDF factory from FinePrint. that allows them to make PDFs on the fly just by printing.

In my CMS, I can set output types to html, ps or pdf. It is a custom CMS, but I'm guessing somebody else has a similar option.

Here get PDF995. [pdf995.com] The free versions display a sponsor page in your web browser each time you run the software or get your own copy for only $10.00. Have used it to convert a graphic heavy manual of over 200 pages without problems. Set it up as a printer and it will create the PDF.
