Well I was going to suggest that if he doesn't know PHP that he may want to look at non-PHP ones or one in a language that he does know.

Also can the original poster give some more info.

Does there need to be a workflow consideration? Ie, do tipsters review posts need to be moderated before they go live? Do you need a retract, approve, publish type workflow or is this not a consideration?

For the front page display of picks for games, do you want a default widget that will be used to display this or do you want to custom build this look yourself?

It sounds like a simple application you want, you may want to go with the CMS with the lightest amount of built in options to reduce the code bloat if you aren't going to take advantage of them.

@Demaestro

I dont know PHP . You made it sound so easy . Yes i want something that is light but have all the funcnality that i need .

They can change their review before going live and i dont have to approve before their review go live but if they are posting something irrelevant i have to remove it .

Every picks posted by the tipsters will be displayed on the frontpage by default . not the whole review but just the picks and with a link within that line back to the review .

Public users will be able to just read the reviews and have the oppotunity to add that tipster as their favorite ( Picks made by that tipster will be emailed to that user )

You have been very kind and patience with me . Thank you so much .

Crypt24 if you don't know PHP then is there a programming lauguage that you do know? If so I would start by looking for a CMS in that language as learning a new one will take time.

It sounds like any basic CMS will work for what you want, but some customizations are going to be needed to be made by you or a programmer. If you don't have the expertise to do this you may want to consider hiring a company that customizes CMSs. Maybe prepare a RFP (Request For Proposal) and submit it to some companies and see if you get an estimate in your budget.

I will be glad to help further but I have to admit I don't deal in PHP so out of the ones you listed I wouldn't know which to go with. I know the Mambo and PHP-Nuke one have some serious sercurity issues.
