Hi,

Im tricking around with webdav /windows server 2003 / . I have done a lot of searcing , but cant find a decent resource on the internet that are not written in " Geek / Phd language " . Any URLS in your bookmarks?

1. I want to make the default site ( wwwroot ) on the 2003 box webdav accessible which i believe i have done ok.

2. When I ask contrite to connect to the box it says it cannot find the " webdav URL " , are webdav URLS different than the normal one ( in my case as its in house the URL is actually an IP address )

Thanks
David

Ok,

Got it sorted more or less. Theres a real lack of info on how to do this on the net... Was wondering what my first blog post would be , now i have the answer.

One thing that still has me stumped though is enabling exclusive write access in windows server ( 2003 ). Contribute insists that when a user access´s a file that another user cant begin to edit that same page.

Anybody got any ideas?

There is a WebDav with a .org extension and Wikipedia has a lot of info/links on it.

Hi,

Thanks, i saw those but they are in heavy geek language and even though im a geek i speak English:)

I was hoping somebody with some experience might point me in the right direction on how to enable exclusive right lock permissons on a windows 2003 server.
