56k modem emulator / download throttler

need to limit my PCs download speed to 56k on broadband

Hi,

does anyone know of any software to throttle my connection?

I need to test some sites at 56k, but these days it's hard to find a 56k connection.

cheers guys.. I tried the first one and it worked, the only thing is that it seems to load the whole page in the background and then push the result to the browser so you cant watch it load.

the 2nd one i couldn't get it to load a web page :(

i think ill have to get a 56k installed again :)

You do need java installed and to follow his setup instructions. Did you not get the app to run at all?

yep i got the app to run and it opened the page..

[127.0.0.1:7569...]

I think it might be my site because it never loads
properley, it grabs the title and the first part of
the html and then stops.

I tried it with google.com and yahoo.com and that worked.
