I need some good shareware or free trial screen capture software. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How complex a screen capture are you looking to make (still or movies), and under what OS?

For still screenshots in Windows, "Prt Scr" will capture the whole screen to the clip board, and "Alt+Prt Scr" will capture the currently active window. You can then simply paste into any graphics program and save to disk.

If you're looking to make screen capture movies check [en.wikipedia.org...] - which has links to some excellent freeware tools.

There are some alternatives to that which offer more functionality. FullShot comes to mind right away.

After using it, I went back and donated a few bucks. Well worth it.

I use Snagit, and it works great for me.
