Instead of buying ANOTHER Static IP,
How can one configure the network to allow for viewing a security surveillance Web cam attached to a switcher-network computer through a Router on an Internal IP address via the Public Web's External Static IP?

security,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Do a search on your router's support site for "DMZ" and "Port forwarding."

You are making your camera feed available to everyone on the 'net, including those who might be interested to see what view it covers, and when. You are also opening a hole in your network security. Be sure that's what you want to do.

What can you do to alleviate any network security problems that may occurr as a result of openning up a hole?

The site was not explicit enough, which is why this post was made
