Hello-
We recently launced a new site earlier this year. For some reason google and yahoo will not index our product pages. They index all of our category pages, blog, and other content pages... but not the products linked from them. The url style we are using is:

www.example.com/shop-product-name,11276,0,75

The numbers at the end are reference id's we need to pass.

Does google and yahoo not like this format maybe?

Thanks for any input.

Scott

I was thinking of using the below instead...

www.example.com/shop/product-name/11276/0/75

Yahoo doesn't seem to index pages with parameters, google was indexing even with parameters expressed as?name=value

But, it did take a few weeks before google went through the whole site...almost seemed like first time it went through home page, next time links from home page, next time...one more level and so on.

Just keep getting more linked with other sites. As that happens, your importance grows, and more levels are indexed.

I don't know if the commas might be causing a problem.

Thanks for the info...

I ended up using a link like this:

[example.com...]

We shall see if that helps at all.
