301 Redirects

How long for Search Engines to pick up redirected pages

I have recently decided to make all my pages lowercase, due to problems with incoming links sometimes pointing to different mixed cases and both working on my site (therefore diluting ranking passed).

I have used a 301 permanent redirect and the result about 2 weeks later in MSN, is many of the old mixed case pages are listed without any titles or description but the new lowercase pages haven't appeared.

I was advised that the ranking should pass on to the new pages in msn and google and wonder if anyone can tell me how long this would normally take (the redirects are all within the same domain)?
