Changing hosting plan, will my rankings drop?

I am seriously scared to switch, but I must make the change sooner or later

I plan to change my hosting plan to IPowerweb. Does the type of hosting plan you purchase have anything to do with how fast pages are indexed, or is that completely up to the search engine spiders? I think IPowerweb is a pretty well known hosting company so I dont think I have to worry about it having bad reputation.

With this in mind, changing servers, I absolutely do not want my rankings to drop because of this. It probably wouldn't matter as long as I keep the same directories, and pagenames, but I still am scared, now that my site is making me money. Any experiences with something bad happening, (or good) with changing hosts?

This is really up to the spider, only thing that may affect it is how much the server can take.

Only thing you have to worry about is their bad customer support and billing problems. Other than that I have heard nothing but good things about them.

As long as you keep the same directories and page names you should not have a problem, I just switched web host and my ranking is still the same.
