I have long been using the btinternet.com/cgi-bin/userform.cgi to process formmail on my sites for free. It worked without a hitch until a week ago, when everything ground to a horrible halt with no messages being posted, just a BT error message appearing whenever anyone tries to submit the form.

I realise that I need to have better control over my formmail delivery and am now looking for alternative solutions. I'd really appreciate some advice.

I need a package which I can use for many different forms on different sites. Most are hosted by a provider which doesn't offer cgi capability, Perl or PHP. I am prepared to pay, but would like to find something that won't bankrupt me!

Any hints, tips, advice or recommendations welcome. I'm really not sure where to turn at this point...

are you stuck with Perl? If you can use ASP there is a great program available for purchase at a reasonable cost which will process the forms for you.

[xigla.com...] is the place to get it.

Also, why not hire someone to write a simple form - email handler for you in whatever language you need. It's not that complicated to read through the form, attach it to an email object and send it.

I do that with an ASP object.

Thanks very much for your reply.

I've ended up for now with formmail.com. They seem to provide everything I need at a very reasonable price including a free trial period.

Many thanks for taking the time to tell me about some alternative options though.
