I'm trying to set up anti-spam email addresses, so I can avoid adding to the 1000 - 15000 spam emails I receive each day.

I've looked at formmail.cgi, but am uncomfortable with its record of past exploitation by spammers.

I've found some useful JavaScript email address encryption scripts, but according to other threads on WW, in excess of 7% of browsers have JavaScript disabled - many people won't be able to see protected email addresses.

And so far, I'm not confident with filtering given issues with false positives.

Has anyone found a reliable solution for beating the spambots? Or can anyone recommend a filtering solution they're happy with?

i use a combination of encoded javascript for those browsers with javascript enabled and the link code surrounds a gif that contains the contact info and email address. the user can read the email address as an image of text in the gif and type the address into their email client themselves. more work for the user, but hey, it's their choice.
