I've been researching the issue but have failed at getting one. The box i have set up as my Apache server is a Windows XP Pro box and i run a forum for me and a few friends off of it. Can anyone point me into the right direction or perhaps help me with this. The PHP default on the server is localhost. If any more information is needed i wll be happy to provide it but i am very new to this stuff.
Thanks.

Are you wanting to set up user@domain.tld accounts for you and your friends or do you just want to be able to mail passwords and notices from your forum? If you are interested in the former then you'll have to either buy a mail server (Merek, IndigoStar, Qualcomm, et al) or go with a Sendmail clone that has been ported to the Win32 platform. If you are after the latter there are native funtion calls in php [mail()] that doesn't need for there to be a mail server installed.

Not my site, it was just the first one that Google spit out and happened to also have relevant information.
