need a Server Uptime Monitor

for my sites, and clients, any recommendations?

Here's what I need in an uptime script:

- Monitors any type of server
- Sends email when site is down (ideally configurable)
- Allows for client log in
- I'd prefer PHP, but Perl would be fine too

Can anyone recommend a script for that? I looked through the PHP section at Hotscripts, but didn't find anything that does what I need.

You might check out Nagios. We use Hyperspin and been extremely happy with them
