Protecting images with anearly transparent overwrite

Need to proteect 9500 images from copying

Hi
Can any one help with some software(except photoshop) that will batch overwrite our images (like a watermark)with "widgets.com" so that even if the are ripped they will not be able to be used by our competitors.
Price is not a factor here(not looking for a freebie)
Just want the job done efficiently

photoshop can do it.

i imagine fireworks can too (never tried though)

look for a program from 'smaller animals'

it runs in batch mode.

ImageMagick imagemagick.org) will do it as well. You can add in the functionality of Perl and script the whole thing in no time and just run it against new images in the future.
