Hi, im setting up my ecommerce website and will be scripting in asp.net.
As i understand it, i need to go for windows hosting as its best suited to asp.net. Is this correct?

I would really appreciate it if anybody could recommend good reliable windows hosting companies to me? Im looking for shared hosting with a stand alone IP

Ive searched several threads but haven't found anything to help me on this topic

Thanks a lot

Sticky mail me and I will tell you the URL of my host - we have four servers there and the support is incredible - and they are a major host as well.

It's strictly against the terms of service for the forum to discuss hosting companies. Try this recent thread [webmasterworld.com] (see post #5 by createErrorMsg) for a good explanation as to the reasons why.

You've got no idea if the proposed companies are really any good or because the person works for or is an affiliate for the company.

Hi Encyclo.. i was under the impression that as long as no recommendations are made directly in the public discussion, there was no harm in taking advice thru sticky mails?

When someone posts "sticky me" or "check your mail" it renders the thread useless to the community as a whole.

Most of the threads at Webmaster World get indexed and spidered so people around the world can reference our pages for help.

While "sticky me" or "check your mail" posts are not specifically banned, we don't like them.

Thanks.
