My question is not about transferring a domain - I need help with the web site transfer. Is there an easy way to do this?

When I redesign a web site, I need to transfer the web pages, images and files to the new web site. For example, I just began maintaining a web site. They decided to register a new domain name (store name changed) and also wants me to redesign the site. The new server is all set up, so now I need to transfer the web site files. When I open the old/current web folder, I can copy & paste files, but only one at a time.

In the past, I have saved the web page to the new server folder before, but then it took forever fixing the links and broken images, pages, etc. I KNOW I am doing it the HARD way! *BLUSH*

Do I simply fix this by using an FTP program like WSFTP, then publishing the local site to the remote folers in my web program (Dreamweaver MX)?

Thank you!

Yes, just FTP everything over to the new site and it should work.

Guess your urls arent relative because with shell access I just tar it and zip it and use wget on the other server and then decompress it. If your good with grep replace all the old urls with the new ones.
