Hi, dunno if I'm in the right forum but here's my question:

How do I setup FTP for a Windows XP webserver? I've tried searching & asking others but to no answer to my question.

I want to be able to give access to my webserver via ftp so that I can allow my friends to use space on my webserver, is there any links with screenshots on how to do this?

Rather than use the XP machine as the FTP server, I recommend downloading and installing a software FTP server.

I use BulletProof FTP server which I like very much.

I agree with txbakers. I've had lots of security troubles with the Microsoft ftp server. Seems like it had more holes than the IIS web server. I don't know how it is nowadays. I don't know if it's been tighted up or not. But If I were you I'd use something else.

BTW, if you decide to stick with Microsoft, their KB and MSDN sites have all the info you need to set it up.
