I have been looking for a while for a suitable search engine script for our Company that fits my needs, but have had no real joy.

Our Company essentially has two main sites (on the same domain), each of which is replicated in many different languages. Basically I want to implement a search engine that only searches the current language. It would also be highly desirable to be be able to configure the search engine to search (for example) Site-A in language 'FR'.

I would also like the script to spider just the content of the selected pages, and NOT the toolbars or any other irrelevant content. Finally, since many of the page titles/descriptions are important for our SEO program, I would like to be able to remove or minimise the 'weighting' of these parameters in the search.

This may be a demanding list, but can anyone help?

If your server supports PHP, Corzgoogle [corz.org] may be exactly what you're looking for. It's simple to install, HIGHLY configurable and very flexible in use. It's does REAL TIME text searches, no messy databases or indexes ;), so it's best suited for small to medium sized sites.
