Website Directory Scanner?

I have been reading about security issues whilst re-designing my website - and I have found companies that will test the security of the server.

One of the tests was a "directory scanner", which I presume brute forces directory access requests of a website, and records any active dirs.

Has anyone come across this before, and know of tools that do this?

Example URL : http://www.webzcan.com/Vulns/WZV11032.html

Example URLs do NOT lead anywhere, as yours does.

http://www.example.com add Style Codes BOLD tags between ":" and "/" to achieve this.

Sorry, I meant that was where I have seen the script mentioned.
