Can anybody recomend a good web mail app to place on my php enabled web site. I've wasted a lot of time trying to get squirrelmail running without sucess (realy bad documentation - why is that php developers are such bad documentors of their work?) I have a lot of experience of windows bases programming so Im reasonably confident of my ability to learn given the right input.

You are not alone having problems with squirrelmail. I had to change the cookie code on almost all the pages to get it to work properly. It was worth it once it was running as it is a good and fast package, but I had lots of problems initially.

I have never set it up myself but as it appears in my hostings cpanel, you may want to check it out.

[horde.org...]

Good luck. :)

kieran - Is your php site on windows or linux?

If it's windows, then I found horde impossible to set up, hence why I went with squirrelmail. If your on linux, then I'm sure horde will be easier to setup. The look and feel of horde is really nice, better than squirrelmail IMO.

Do you have Control Panel with this server?
Is this a hosting account? If so you may have one of the webmail programs available to you with the click of a button.
Ask your hosting company.
