I work for a manufacturer that would like to expand their services to include providing websites to it's retailers. Currently we have about 5,000 stores nationwide that sells our products. The main emphasis of what I am looking for is the ability for us to update a database of products and have it be updated automatically on our retailers websites as well (assuming of course it is a website we develop). Also I would like to have our clients be able to modify the look of their site at any time by choosing from a list of design templates that I will make available. The software should also include an ecommerce shopping cart.

From reading some posts on this board, I've looked at Mambo and Typo3 as possible solutions. Are there any other software that would specifically address my main requirements?

Thanks in advance.

Hire a programmer.

It's unlikely you'll find anyting that'd fit such a specific purpose.

Ideally (just musing...)

You'd need to generate a daily/weeky tab delimeted text download for those that know what they're doing.

A DB that users can access (to do as they wish with the data)

A template system that allows users to insert logos and text etc, change all colors et etc that could be built and downloaded as a folder they could just link 2

Easy stuff for someone that knows what they're doing.......
