hi,

just a quick question in the hope you can clarify something for me.

We are experiencing difficulties with our web server. If i was to transfer my websites to a diffferetn server would this have an adverse effect on our rankings and search engine indexing? (our current server is UK based and we want to transfer the sites to another UK server).

Many thanks guys, hope someone can answer this for me.

You shouldn't have any problems - the search engines will pick up your new IP address eventually.

Because it can take a little while, the general rule is to keep a duplicate copy of the site on the old IP address for a few weeks. When you see the spiders coming into the new IP address, it's safe to remove the old one.
