Hello,
I am trying to setup email so I can check all valid emails for my account from one POP account and automatically delete emails not sent to specific email addresses.

I setup up forwarders so that sales@mydomain.com and webmaster@mydomain.com are forwaded to 'zealot', which is my main cpanel username.
I have one pop account called 'zealot'

Now to delete everything else I set :blackhole: to receive all unrouted mail.

I use Yahoo to read my POP account.
I set it up:
Server = mail.mydomain.com
User = zealot
PW = xxxxxxx
This doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas why?
I have read through the documentation and tried many combinations but nothing seems to work right.

Thanks,

sidyadav

MrSpeed,
As far as my experience with CPanel, the username should be 'zealot@mydomain.com' instead of just 'zealot' , Which means enter 'zealot@mydomain.com' instead of just 'zealot' when you setup POP3 in Yahoo. 'zealot' will still be your username when you login in Webmail from your site, but if you want to setup a POP3, enter 'zealot@mydomain.com'.

(Well thats how it worked for me)

Ever tried that?

Sid

I can get POP mail from Yahoo with the information I show above. In Cpanel they say I could also do zealot+harborloghtweb.com

My real issue is that I want to trash all emails unless it is sent to either sales@mydomain.com or webmaster@mydomain.com and I want them aliased to my main accoun called 'zealot'

Thanks,
Rich

Those are the two configurations you need to make: blackhole the unwanted emails and forward the aliases that you want.

What's the problem? Are you not getting any email, or are you not getting email at the aliases?

If it's just the aliases, drop the blackhole and try again. If that works, confirm the code for the blackhole with your host, and try it again, or have them configure it and test it themself(if it won't work for you.)

When I was using the blackhole it seemed like nothing was getting through.

I'll try it again.
