Message Too Old, No Replies

A hundred "Mail delivery subsystem" messages!

Help - anyone know how to fix this

Fresh from spending a day removing the silly msblaster worm, I now find myself deluged with emails like the one that follows..

""Attention: me@mydomain.com

A virus was found in an Email message you sent.
This Email scanner intercepted it and stopped the entire message
reaching its destination.

The virus was reported to be:

W32/Sobig-F

Please update your virus scanner or contact your IT support
personnel as soon as possible as you have a virus on your system.

Your message was sent with the following envelope:

(There then follows a brief path description of my message)""

In every case, the message itself contains a virus, which my Norton AV removes.

The weird thing is that I am now getting about 10 of these every hour, all from different senders, all with addresses that my mail has been "returned" from, none of which I've ever heard of, let alone sent email to.

The problem appears to be worsening too - there started at just one per hour, and things are getting worse.

All advice and help welcome - any fellow sufferers, my commiserations!

Michael_Anthony,

Your server is been hacked by a form-mail exploit, and sobig is using your mail script to send copies of itself. If you pay for hosting, contact your hosting company immendiately. If you run your own server, disconnect it from the internet now(!) and then get help to fix it offline.

Good luck!
