Real Estate Map

Flash? HTML? Samples?

We're doing a map of a 50-property subdivision for a client site. I want to do a map which pops up prices and other information when the cursor is passed over a particular lot. In the past, we've done these in Flash, but they have always been a bit unwieldy - perhaps the fault of the programmer, based on some recent Flash stuff I've seen.

I guess I have a few questions:

1) Is Flash the best way to do this (not the site, just the map)

2) Has anyone seen or done some really nice such maps you can point me to?

3) Any other thoughts or ideas?

In response to your second question, there's a pretty slick flash map at http*//www.ccforme.com/regional_map.html that does something similar to what you describe. I could probably find out who built it if necessary.
