I have a new site which utilizes frames to present shopping cart info after the surfer has reviewed the info from my domain. The problem I am having is a 3rd party cookie issue. When someone adds a product to their shopping cart on my framed site, the product is not added to the cart.

To paraphrase the support staff here's the problem " have researched and determined this is a cookie (a file our site stores on the client computer) issue. A web browser by default restricts the third party cookies (We are considered a third party since we are framed in the parent site) . We do not have the ability to change someone's security settings on there computer. This is an issue with any multiple page order processes on framed third party pages. The best option we have is to link directly to XXXXX where clicks and sales will be tracked by an affiliateid. "

However I don't want to go this route. Any other suggestions?

You could pop in some script to prompt the user to alter their settings, to allow third party. If their settings forbid it in the fitst place.

Its a bit untidy but its an easy workaround. :)

Default setting on Internet Explorer is to refuse Third Party cookies if they are not accompanied by a Compact Privacy Policy.

So I suggest you go and read up on p3p on the w3c website.
