I asked them why my IP was changed.
After denying it first, they told me it was an IP conflict.
Do you people think they did this on purpose or can such happens by accident?

Did you have an agreement with them that you were entitled to a dedicated IP address? If not there's not much you can do about it.
Either way they were, shall we say, inconsiderate to change it without telling you first.
web hosting companies get a raw deal from the customers. someone might buy an item for $150 from an online retailer, wait 2 or 3 weeks longer than expected for delivery, only to find out its the wrong colour or it's broken. they'll call the retailer to politely but firmly ASK for a replacement, and they'll get it, with an apology. but when their personal website on $2.99 per month hosting is down for 10 minutes, they let rip at the web host. then they wonder why their web host sends a polite f*ck off message and takes 12 hours to respond next time.
jeffry - i'm not suggesting that you've let rip at your web host etc, but more that the web host is probably just shrugging off yet another complaint they feel is unnecessary ......
