Our firewall has been catching what it is perceiving as DOS attack transmissions from my machine to mercury.atheosonline.com. Our admin came over thinking that I was recklessly using and abusing our hardware for no good use... which I wasn't!

We did a quick scan for spyware, but nothing obvious came up. Has anyone come across this before? Any ideas?

Cheers!

If the firewall picked it out, there should be log entries to back it up. What kind of traffic did it log? WWW, FTP, ping? Knowing that will help identify what's happening.

Possibly your spyware scanner is old or out of date. Maybe try a different product. I know that I tried one (no name) it came up empty but my firewall log kept saying different. I then used another product to scan and it found two occurances.

I'm using AdAware with the latest RefUpdate and it's picking nothing up - nor is my Virus Scanner...

Bizarre!
