Changing Domain Names

Are links from every old page to new page okay?

I'm changing over a web site to a new domain. I moved all of the exisitng pages to the new domain. I deleted all of the old pages to avoid having duplicate content. At each of the old pages I put up a short page that says "This page has moved. The new page is www.newdomain.com/page1". I did this for each of the fifty pages in the site, 1 through 50.

Because of the restrictions on the current account, I can't forward each page using Apache commands, which I understand is the preferred way of forwarding for Google.

So is what I've done okay? Is this going to get the new site in any trouble with Google?

This should be no problem for Google or any other search engine. It's better than doing a redirect. It's a legitimate, respectful way of taking care of both visitors and search engines.
