Hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me what a repeated Google referal means in my Web server logs? Is it someone just clicking back and forth between the Google result page and my site?

In WebTrends, it looks like this: cache:nlhh45qgx3kc:www.my_domain.com/r2.php dingbats compact disk. The log shows it has 55 visits, but I don't believe it since it is a 18th rank in this case. I'd like to be able to screen these out of my reports so it doesn't contaminate the results. Any ideas?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld canadaeh! If you view Google's cached version of your page, near the top, Google offers a URL to bookmark the cached page that looks like this:
To link to or bookmark this page, use the following url: http*//www.google.com/ search?q=cache:8NLVU2TMLVgC:www.some_domain.com/+search+term&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

I suspect the hits you're seeing in your logs are from a visitor or two that bookmarked your cached page. They're probably legitimate visits and I don't think you should filter them out of your reports.
