Zone Alarm Pro may disable google-toolbar?

Using the ad-blocking function of ZAP I see no green...

My guess would be that Zone Alarm is filtering the data transfer between the toolbar and your local computer, which goes on in the background...ZA probably can't tell the difference between that, and an AD cookie or related.

At this moment, I just changed the Ad Blocking function to its highest in Zone Alarm Pro, and I am still seeing PR on all the site I am visiting.

Yeah, I've also seen this behaviour - not played with it though, so I am not sure what causes it.

so would you say jeremy - that the toolbar cannot send any data to google? => would be interesting for the poeple who are paranoid about GTB ;-)

that is amazing! Maybe it's related with other factors like the version. I have GTB 1.1.62, Win2k pro and ZAP 3.0.

Are u using the FREE version of zonealarm.

I use ut and I can't see pageranks like already 2 months when i installed it, very frustrating.

I'm starting to think this problem may be related to your IE version. I've seen reports of erratic behavior associated with recent IE 6 versions. I use free Zone Alarm on W2K, the Google bar is 1.1.62, and IE is V5.01. It works well.

i use IE5.00 but maybe there is still a problem between za-pro, ie5 and toolbar.

maybe it's a coincidence, but i have also ie 5 engine (upgraded to6).
