Is there a virus that makes IE mess up images? I read about the logo problems on Google via some uk ISPs - see: [webmasterworld.com...]

Today I found this image problem on site on my laptop! Images on one page are mixed up with each other i.e. bits of one image overlaid onto another. The images look ok in an image editor (photoshop). So I'm wondering if my browser has a virus?

The site is one I created ages ago, its not online, its resident on the laptop (a demo site). The laptop is not even online when this happens. So I guess that rules out an ISP in this case.

I assume you've cleared out the Temporary Internet Files and tried again?

I've seen this problem before, and as far as I can remember it's a problem with IE5.x and some video adapters. I can't find the link at the moment, but when I do I'll post it here...

Isn't this a problem with IE 6? I had it recently where the images were all jaggy. Never had it with IE 5.5. It can be fixed in Tools/Internet Options/Advanced: Uncheck the "automatic image resize" box.

I use IE 5.x. It has been fine until yesterday. Now some images are messed up.
