After problems and false promises (downtime & lost emails) I've decided to move hosting companies I've found a new provider and they are ready to pick up the tag as soon as it's released but I want to keep downtime as sort as possible and although my current hosting company can't hold onto the tag I'm sure they are going to be far from helpful.

So when’s the best time to switch? I'm thinking around the 10th so hopefully not to upset googles crawl

Is there anything else I should be watching out for?

I would also take into acount the low usage days from your logs and use that also as a factor.

Hi Tigger, I would say... watch for google dance and then switch immediately thereafter.

Your probably right tigger, 9-10 would be prefect since it normally takes 48 hours to propagate and I doubt if much North Amercian traffic will be around on the 11th.
