I just upgraded to formmail 1.92 and now my form doesn't arrive at its destination. I uploaded in ASCII mode and set the correct file permissions (755). However, I got a 550 message when I uploaded ('can't check for file existence').

Can someone tell me what might be going wrong?

On another note: someone else uploaded the previous version of formmail for me and entered ^ before the @ referers email address to enhance security. Can someoone tell me what this does exactly?

Thanks for your help,
Namniboose

Unfortunately, you haven't received a lot of responses to your questions, namniboose. Have you made any progress with these problems on your own?

Hi Dave,

Yes, actually I have fixed the problem, thanks.

I still haven't managed to find out what the 550 message means ('can't check for file existence') or what the ^ before the @ referers is though.

It could be that your host provider has set a global re-direct and/or block on any files with that filename due to ongoing formmail hack attempts.

Have you tried re-naming the file to something like mymail.pl and verifying it has uploaded?
