Hi can anyone tell me how to convert word documents in html on the fly. So if someone submits a word document into an access database, though a browser interface. Then clicks on the link in the html document the word doc is converted into html. Is there a program or extension to dreamweaver I can use. Any help would be great.

Thanks

In Dreamweaver this is a built-in function. Go to "Commands" then "Clean up Word HTML."

I know that but I want to do it on the fly so there is no editing involved. So its done atomaticly without the help of word or dreamweaver. You see Im designing a site in a organisation where only a handful know html and not very well and since most docs r done in word. What Im trying to do is keep the format of the site in html. I could use a database to store the docs and just have them as links. But that approach would disrupt the layout and design of the site.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

If you are using a COM compliant environment, you could use an ActiveX component like WordConverterX.

Not sure about Linux options. What I was referring to was an ActiveX control that you could use in COM compliant environments like IIS. Windows 2000 Server would have been fine. Was this ASP code within 2000 Server?

Thanks for your help but I found what I was looking for. Someone sent me a link to ClickToConvert by Inzone Software Limited which will solve my problem so thanks again.
