Ok im considering switching hosts and i was wondering if there are any heads up you can give me. I see posts every now and then about making sure everything is forwarded porperly so you dont fall out of the search engines.

And one more thing if there is any buddy here that knows alot about diffrent hosting companys please sticky me as i would like to run the name of the host past you to see if youve heard any thing good or bad about them.

What are the reprecussions of not having an IP address?

Thanks,

Donny

Hi Dpeper,

It's a sunday and most people of the northen hemisfere are on vacation.

When in a hurry, why not use the site search feature? This topic has been discussed many times. There is alot of bones you can dig for yourself in there. ;)

We're trying to not be totally addicted, okay :)

I have several sites hosted on Earthlink. Generally good (lots of storage for relatively low price, good uptime, decent tech support) but no PHP or MySQL support.

Aside from the glitches last week, Brett's host [westhost.com] seems to do well. Given how well WebmasterWorld runs, I am considering moving a site there to give them a try.

As was mentioned, there are more than a few threads on this subject floating around...
