How complex a job

to alter URL to be SE friendly

I know this sort of topic is being covered in similar threads but I was unsure it fitted exactly in one of them.

I have to suggest options for a site that is essentially a directory. There is boat loads of text content in the DB but it is hidden deep down behind complicated URL's. I have experimented with Google to see if it will index these deep pages via a link from another well ranked domain (PR7). But no joy.

I put this down to the biblically long querystring. What I was wondering is from the look of the beast below, is suggesting using the mod-rewite an option? There are some technical geezers that will implement this, so no worries for me.

If they use php it would be a snap to alter it to something like:

site.com/335/ClassBrowse/339/2/335

but maybe mod rewrite would be better...
