I had 3 orders/payments yesterday totaling about $350 for that they never kicked an email out for (yes the email address works/fine).
Now they have a problem with their refresh on the withdraw form. If you select a different bank account than the first in the drop-down list, it will always refresh back to the first. Tried in both IE and Netscape 7.1.
Contacted them about the issues and of course have not heard back. Just sounding off is all...
Also, I have a merchant account etc. just the purchasers of these particular item(s) chose PayPal over my other payment options 90% of the time...
Whats even worse is that a withdrawal I made last week has not shown up in my bank. So I guess if thats happened to a lot of people that would be why the help emails are not working - they'd have heaps of help queries at the moment!
We are sorry that we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later.

Very up and down, I've also noticed the problem with the withdraw form, I need to withdraw some money to a bank account that isn't the one at the top of the list but no matter what I try it keeps jumping back to the top one! Very irritating, surely they can fix this as a matter of priority? It's been like this for 5 days now, just not good enough!

"Message 3004" not even able to log in ...
Have not gotten emails for payments either
Ever since they changed their home page things seem EXTREMELY bad to say the least ..
What are they doing? ebay decided they need a new home page and new underlying software?
I use their IPN a lot and hope that the suspicion of their IPN not working is not true!
anybody else with IPN who DID notice the problems?
If IPN AND notifications don't work we are seriously up a very special creek 'sans' paddle ...
We, for one, would like to see what more Paypal users are experiencing, and would like to follow along as paypal fixes the bugs.
We turned Paypal Payments off for the time being, as a good portion of our ad spending has been going down the drain for the last several days.
The guy says he's going to keep updating that.
It's a really difficult issue. The scale of some of these large sites, such as ebay and paypal, make it essentially impossible to duplicate in a test environment the load levels that the production sites receive. In addition, once an extended outage occurs, it can become very difficult to return a site to service even if the original problem has been resolved, due to the mind-boggling surge of traffic that occurs after such an outage.
I had to take $110 out of my savings to get my rent money together and have $35.38 in my paypal account that I can't touch.
Business has been non-existant.
After I pay my rent and ISP bills I am totally ruined until Paypal gets fixed.
Many people are having this problem.
No orders have come in since Saturday. I should have abotu $300 of orders by now. Still nothing and I am penniless.
This really sucks.

In the forum folks are voicing their troubles.
Looks like literally millions of dollars worth of orders are being turned away becuase of the paypal site problems.
If this keeps a nother few days I am finically runined.

Pires said the problem appeared to be related to a coding update late on Thursday. "We haven't found the ultimate cause," she added.
Wow!
I just went to the gas station for coffie and decided to try out my Paypal debit card. I works!
Went directly to the ATM to get the money out of my account. Withdrew for the first time since Sunday with no problem.
However, I checked my account balance using the ATM and it said -$191!
Everything looked okay from my Paypal account page, however.
Crossing my fingers that the Paypal glitches will clear up very soon and I can be back in business.

I'll have a site that only uses Paymate Express for payments which means I can accept $USD but not Euro or Pounds. Just goes to show you should always have more than one payment gateway. It seems that the DDOS attacks are hitting all the providers (they hit worldpay last week). Hopefully paymate express is too small and obscure for a DDOS attack as well.

Sorry, there are much larger firms than this that do major upgrades (such as the world bank and stock exchange) and they don't just throw-up an "upgrade" and say, well, guess we'll be down for several days since it didn't work like expected... this just shows that no matter how much money a company makes, they may still not have the brightest candles burning on their end..
I assume they can do that - revert to whatever code was in place a week ago.
