.htaccess file need urgent help!

I was playing around with my webspace and was trying out uploading an .htaccess file. However, now I cannot access the site from my browser (forbidden..) and the file is invisible in CUTE ftp. How do I see, edit or delete this hidden file please.

Ck your "options" and check or uncheck "show dot files" or "show hidden files" (I forget what it is called in Cute.
