They are handy after you get used to using them. Back - just right click, and drag a little bit to the left. Close window - down right. Minimize - down left. Reload - up then down.
Highly addictive. I find myself trying to use them in other browsers. Anyone else hooked?

Mouse gestures allow you to perform frequently used browse actions through simple mouse movements. If you don't use mouse gestures, and don't want to unintentionally perform mouse gestures, you can disable them.

btw, I don't use them. I disabled mouse gestures since I use keyboard shortcuts instead.
But it only applies to Opera.
Actually, they're also available for Mozilla: [optimoz.mozdev.org...]
Eventually, everything will be available for Mozilla. Those Open Source guys are scary like that.
