I have an html page with a jump menu created in Dreamweaver.
The jump menu is in a frame set in the navigation frame. When you select an option from this menu it loads in the frame below the navigation frame called content.

I have two problems the first is i want to have the jump menu reset its self back to the default tile which is Quicklinks after you have selected an option from the list. The does nopt happen at the moment.

The other problem is if the user happens to select Quicklinks it loads the site navigation in the content frame even though there is no value set for the menu option Quicklinks

below is the code for the jumpmenu:

<form name="form1">
<img src="../navigation_images/spacer.gif" width="160" height="1">
<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('parent.frames[\'content\']',this,0)">
<option>Quick Links</option>
<option value="ringtones.html" selected>Ringtones</option>
<option>- Top Ten Ringtones</option>
<option value="#">- Ringtone Categories</option>
<option value="#">- UK Chart</option>
<option value="#">- Latest Ringtones</option>
<option value="#">- Ringtones of the Week</option>
<option value="#">- Ringtones Chart</option>
<option value="#">- Ringtone Classics</option>
<option value="#">- Ringtone Film &amp; TV</option>
<option value="#">- Ringtone Rock &amp; Pop</option>

You could reset the form after the user makes their choice by inserting a document.form1.reset() on the onChange event.

<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('parent.frames[\'content\']',this,0); document.form1.reset()">

I haven't tested this, so I'm not 100% sure if it'll work...

As for the loading issue, it seems like the script is assigning each menu item the target of content. I'm not sure off the top of my head how you'd get around this. Can you post the MM_jumpMenu javascript (or put a link in your profile to it)?

be easier to set the selectedIndex back to 0 in the onchange event:

<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('parent.frames[\'content\']',this,0); this.selectedIndex=0;">

It should now be impossible for the user to select Quick Links as the dropdown will be resetting itself.
